Marketing is a game. Are you playing by the rules? The purpose of the game is to turn strangers into prospects, buyers and clients

The POWER acronym stands for the five critical
elements that make up a successful marketing strategy:
Position, Offer,Woo, Engage and Respond. It’s an
easy-to-remember system devised by Smarthinking
that describes a simple, effective and affordable
approach to small business marketing.

POWER Marketing begins with Positioning. This is where you develop your Core Marketing Message,
letting your prospect know who you work with, what issues and challenges you address and the solutions
and outcomes you deliver.
The game starts when you attract someone you suspect will be interested in your services. To get their attention,
you make them an Offer.
With your suspects now attentive, you must turn them into prospects. Use the dating principles you learned as a teenager and Woo them.
Exploration usually begins with a discussion of some kind. This is where the sales process starts. Engage your prospect with your efforts and ideas, questions and answers.
Respond by moving into the final phase. Your prospect is now ready to take action and buy. Do the work. Deliver the service. If you’re as good as you say you are, you’ll have a happy client. Now is the ideal time to obtain a referral.
